Wake up relatively early (but not crazy early) to head out east to the hiking trails for a long, beautiful day hike in the mountains with stunning views and maybe even a lake dunk! Grab some tater tots and milkshakes on your way back in a cute little rural town then take a long hot shower and recover with some horizontal time. Re-emerge after some good rest to grab a bite to eat with friends at a local brewery w/ food trucks then go out to drinks and dancing in the city, ending the night with a classic Seattle street hot dog. Sleep in the next day, then get ready for a Zumba class (anyone hear of Dance Church?!) and dance your butt off once again in a more organized manner. Afterward, walk to the nearby farmer's market and eat fresh pastries, berries and maybe even a popsicle from Seattle Pops. Head to the nearest body of water (there are many) and take a dunk then lay in the sun and read and relax. Head home to meal prep and make yourself a delicious farm-to-table meal from the goods you got from the farmer's market. Call any family and friends you've been missing then curl up on the couch for some Love Is Blind binging before bedtime.

Start your morning with coffee and pastries at Milstead Coffee with views of Lake Union. Head out 1-90 for an Alpine Lakes hike. Mason Lake is one of my favorites for its mountain and lake views! Have a late lunch at the lake, preferably of cheese and crackers. Make your way back to the city and stop at Gasworks Brewing for a drink on the water. You can jump in the lake or paddleboard right from the brewery. For dinner walk over to Revel in Fremont. Make sure to try the spicy rice cakes and short rib wontons. Get a good night's rest- you had a long day! The next morning wake up, have some coffee, and head for a run around Greenlake. After your run, stop at Retreat for breakfast and more coffee. In the later morning, venture to the Ballard Farmer's market and pick up some fresh flowers and fruit. Make sure to try the best ice cream ever, the chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream at Salt and Straw, while you're in Ballard. If you have time in the afternoon, head back to Fremont to check out the Sunday market and stop by Ophelia's Bookstore, a cute little used bookstore

Wake up late and go for an indoor cycling class followed by brunch at Lola, a Greek-inspired restaurant. I would then have a little nap, and head to Madison Park Beach and swim, jump off the diving board, and lookout at the most beautiful view of Mt. Rainier. Good company (in our case, most likely our wonderful co-residents I would being a paneer sandwich from Bombay Burger for my afternoon snack, too! For dinner, I would go to drinks at Bottlehouse followed by dinner at an amazing Malaysian street food restaurant, Kedai Makan. If I had a little more time, I would make the drive to Olympic National Park and hike up Mount Storm King followed by a day of swimming in Lake Crescent. A chickpea burger with blueberry bbq at Granny’s Café before going home is a must!

Friday evening: Enjoy a stroll or casual bike ride around Green Lake, then spend a low-key evening perusing the shelves at any of Seattle's many excellent bookstores: Elliott Bay Book Company, Phinney Books, Third Place...
Saturday: There's no better way to start the day than with a smoked salmon piroshky courtesy of Piroshky Piroshky. (Also worth visiting at Pike Place is Storyville Coffee, where first-time guests get a free souvenir mug!) After fueling up, select a hike for the day—some classics are Poo Poo Point, Snow Lake, and Rattlesnake Ledge. Complete your hike, document it on AllTrails, revel in the endorphins, then reward yourself with fancy sushi with friends.
Sunday morning: Head to the sprawling Ballard farmers market and make a hodgepodge breakfast out of the fresh fruits, pastries, and cheeses for sale. Meander over to Ballard Locks and watch salmon travel upstream along the fish ladder. After you've learned as much as you can ever hope to know about the Chinook salmon life cycle, continue along to Discovery Park. Marvel at the bigleaf maple trees, then find a bench and kick up your feet. You've earned some quality time with your Friday bookstore haul.

Friday night indulge your inner tourist and have dinner at Virginia Inn. Bonus points if you snag the secret table with views of the Sound. After dinner, walk a couple blocks south to Shuggs for ice cream. Hit the hay early; you have a full day ahead. Saturday, wake up and grab coffee from almost anywhere. Personally, I love Grand Central for a latte and breakfast sandwich. Now it’s time to bike! Starting from UW Medical Center, you can bike clockwise around the north half of Lake Washington. The route is almost entirely bike paths and protected bike lanes. Stop in Kirkland (aka Costco-land) for a snack at one of the cute restaurants. Also stop periodically to pick salmonberries or blackberries depending on the season. Finish your loop by crossing the lake on the SR-520 bridge bike path and taking in the stunning 360 degree views. Refuel at Ravenna Brewing. End the day with an picnic at the beach at Magnuson Park.

Saturday morning, get up and grab coffee & a hefty breakfast burrito from Ada's on 15th. Set out early for a hike to one of the infinite alpine lakes within 2 hours of Seattle (favorites being Snow Lake, Mason Lake, Lake Serene). Hit up a milkshake shack on your drive back down the highway. Once back in Seattle, put on some more layers and head to Ballard/Fremont for some brewery hopping and sampling of the many food trucks hanging around. Take your last beer to go and walk down to the docks on Lake Union and watch as the boats & shorebirds come in for the evening.

For your Saturday, sleep in and take a stroll to get some yummy Argentinian pastries or empanadas from BOCA in capitol hill. Head on next door and get a coffee at from espresso Vivace, my go-to drink is usually an iced chai with almond milk. With pastries and coffee (Or chai) in tow head over to volunteer park and have a picnic with friends! After your picnic take your pick of either spending the afternoon exploring the arboretum or the Seattle Asian art Museum , both located within Volunteer park. Afterwards grab dinner either as date night or with friends, at many of the wonderful restaurants in Seattle, Asadero in Ballard if you have a hankering for some upscale Mexican carne asada, or How to cook a wolf if you want to venture over to Queen anne for some amazing in house made sourdough. To end the night, you can stay in Ballard, and head over to Bar Sabine for a couple of fun cocktails. For your Sunday morning you can pick up some donuts from top pot, and head to a rooftop if it’s a sunny day and get amazing views of mt rainier.
Hobbies
Trying new restaurants and bars! I am a foodie and like to trial many different types of cuisines whether its casual take out or a fun more upscale place for a girls night out/date night. Get up early Saturday morning, pack a trail breakfast, and head east on I-90 to North Bend. There, you will find the trailhead to Mt. Si, a very popular and rigorous 8-mile out and back with over 3,000 ft elevation gain and spectacular views. If you are not quite feeling up to Mt. Si, a great alternative is West Tiger #3 in the Issaquah Alps with a 5.5-mile out and back and 1,950 ft elevation gain. After taking in the views and making your way back down, head into Woodinville for lunch at The PicNic Table Café. This will fortify you for an afternoon of wine tasting in the Warehouse District—I recommend LaShellé, Baer, and Pondera wineries. If you need a break, head into the Schoolhouse District for coffee and a snack at Sidekick Coffee and ice cream at Swanky Scoop. On a summer evening you can relax at the patio of Fireside Cellars (within Willows Lodge) and watch hot air balloons glide overhead. You may even hear the faint sounds of music from a concert at Chateau Ste Michelle (if you aren’t lucky enough to have a ticket).
On Sunday morning, catch some of the classic sights and sounds of Seattle. Head over to Pike Place Market. Skip the Starbucks and instead go to Café Ladro and Piroshky Piroshky for your coffee and breakfast. After exploring the market and watching the flying fish, go to the north side of Lake Union for lunch at Ivar’s. Sit on the barge and watch the boats go by while enjoying your fish and chips. For the afternoon, grab a bike and ride along the Burke-Gilman Trail to Golden Gardens Park. Spend Sunday evening on the beach watching the sunset and reflecting on your PNW adventures.
Hobbies
I love being outdoors hiking, cycling, or just out walking and exploring. I aspire to go backpacking more. You might also find me indoors doing yoga. I also love singing and dancing. I sing music ranging from early polyphony to jazz, and my favorite dance styles are bachata and salsa. Creatively, I have multiple knitting and sewing projects that are perpetually in a state of “in-progress”.

Pick a bottle of natural wine to start sipping while you wait for a table, or get everything to go and picnic in the park. End the night with ice cream—my go-to is Salt and Straw. Saturday: Spend the day outdoors—hiking outside of the city and/or chilling in a park or by a body of water. For dinner, try the interesting cocktails and hearty plant-based food at Life on Mars! Sunday: Pick a cute cafe for coffee (I need to try many more, but my recs so far—Analog Coffee, Temple Pastries, Volunteer Park Cafe & Pantry). Go for a bike ride on the Burke-Gilman trail. Start the day with brunch at one of the many restaurants near Greenlake: Pete's Egg Nest or 65th Street Cafe & Restaurant. Then, burn those calories with a scenic walk or bike ride around the 2.8-mile urban lake loop, soaking in the sun and the lush greenery. Next, rent a pedal boat from the Boathouse and spend an hour or two out on the water enjoying the cool breeze. Afterward, go to happy hour and enjoy a couple of ciders (my go-to) before heading off to Laugh's Comedy Club in Roosevelt. Enjoy great appetizers, burgers, and drinks while you laugh your guts out. Finally, go home, cuddle with your SO, pet, or yourself, and fall asleep to a Netflix movie. This is what I call a living room slumber party.
The next day, sleep in (because you deserve it) and take a long shower using an Aromatherapy Shower Steamer. It's like a bath bomb for showers. Then, get your nails done at Excellent Nails in Wallingford. Spend the rest of the afternoon exposing your tastebuds to authentic East African, West African, and Caribbean cuisine. Pam's Kitchen in Wallingford has delicious Caribbean food. In addition, there are plenty of highly rated Ethiopian spots in the Cherry Hill area. For West African food, try fried plantains, couscous, fried fish, and Benin jollof rice at Bantaba African Restaurant in Lynwood. While in the area, visit Achegust African Fabrics to check out the Ghanaian textiles, clothing, accessories, and skincare. Finally, hit up the Alderwood mall and upgrade that wardrobe so that you can dress for success!

Additionally, I showcase the challenges and barriers that First-Generation and/or immigrant students face when pursuing careers in medicine. I love to dance, particularly in the mirror, while pretending to be Beyonce. I also enjoy Salsa and Bachata dancing at Century Ballroom. My husband and I often host dinners and game nights with friends and family. He's a fantastic cook, and my hobby is eating his food. Then head to Golden Gardens Park to spend your afternoon lounging on the beach, eating lunch and artisanal popsicles and slushies from Miri's (the beach cafe), and staring blissfully at the mountains on the Olympic Peninsula across the Sound. Stake out a bonfire pit early so that you can watch the sun set over the Olympics and then set up a bonfire - don't forget the smores ingredients! Sunday: grab donuts from Top Pot donuts on your way downtown, where you'll hop on the ferry to Bainbridge island. Wave hello to Mt. Rainier looming behind the city while you're on the boat. After disembarking, head to the Gazzam Lake Nature Preserve for a nice outdoor stroll. On the way home, jump in Lake Washington at Madrona Beach. Make your way to Chucks for a beer (or a boozy slushy) with a co-resident. Dinner time - try Taurus Ox, a casual neighborhood Laos restaurant - everything is delicious but the mango sticky rice is a must get for desert. For sunset, grab cheese and wine, and head to Gasworks Park. Sunday morning - Enjoy one of the most amazing Seattle views at Kerry Park and visit Meredith Grey's house. I hope you have an amazing time!
Hobbies
Spending time with my people, traveling, hiking, trying new restaurants, exploring Seattle, watching series and documentaries on all platforms, figuring out how to be an adult (cooking, financing and stuff).

I love everything about OB/GYN so I'm pretty sure I want to be a generalist. The variety is wonderful - labor and delivery, clinic, the OR, short-term acute care and long-term relationships with patients throughout their lives. I am also interested in medical education but just trying to take everything in so far!

Friday night - stop by Gasworks to take in the view, followed by dinner at Revel where you MUST order the crab noodle (maybe the best dish in Seattle), followed by a Belgian beer at Brouwers around the corner. Saturday - wake up early and head out to one of the many wonderful hikes within an hour drive on I-90 (Mt. Si, Mailbox, or McClellan Butte are my favs) for a great view of Mount Rainier, the Cascades, and the city. After a quick shower, swing through Pike Place to take in the sights and grab a hombow at Mee Sum Pastry, then head out to Ballard for a brewery crawl starting with Stoup and Peddler. Sunday - probably running into Bryn at Temple Pastries or Raised Donuts, then a quick stroll around Seward Park before heading back to the airport!
Hobbies
I love to hike/backpack, road bike, ski - basically anything outdoors. I also am very into baking and cooking and love hosting friends for dinner parties in our backyard. I also play on a rec soccer team (go Melonheads) and have recently developed an interest in pickleball!

One of the main things that drew me to OB-GYN was the variety, so I currently plan to become a generalist and focus my practice on providing gender neutral and inclusive OBGYN care.

Friday night - Pick up Tacos Chukis (recommend the house taco and chicken mulita) and walk over to Chucks Hop Shop for beers. For a nightcap, walk to Hello Robin for ice cream and cookie sandwiches (I love the orange habanero chocolate chip cookie!). Saturday - Temple Pastries for coffee and breakfast pastries -- everything is amazing. After recovering from the sugar rush, take the ferry out to Bainbridge Island for a day of eating, walking around, and kayaking if the weather's nice. Sunday morning - Pick up Rubenstein's bagels for breakfast and take to Olympic Sculpture Park for nice views before leaving!
Hobbies
I love getting outside with my partner and friends -- going to the lake, biking, hiking, or just a good podcast walk. During the rainy Seattle seasons, I enjoy reading and snuggling with my cat, Leo.

The privilege to advocate for patients’ reproductive healthcare rights is initially what attracted me to a career in OB GYN. I am interested in the intersection of policy and medicine and hope to pursue projects that assess healthcare disparities/inequities and social determinants of health. I am currently undecided on whether I will pursue a fellowship or a generalist career.

Friday night - Happy hour and dinner at Rione XIII, dessert at Molly Moon’s Ice Cream. Saturday - Start the day with brunch at Oddfellows in Capitol Hill, make your way to the Chihuly Glass Museum (worth the hype and the price of admission, highly recommend watch the glass blowing demo) and admire the Space Needle. Time for lunch at Monsoon, delicious Vietnamese food. Walk off lunch at the UW Arboretum (highly recommend the Japanese Garden) or Discovery Park (recommend South Beach Trail). Enjoy dinner with a view Ray’s Café. Sunday morning - Go to Pike Place Market and grab a delicious pastry from Le Panier and a coffee from the OG Starbucks and explore the market before going to the airport.
Hobbies
I love listening to NPR podcasts, specifically This American Life, Planet Money and Freakonomics. I enjoy spending time outdoors - running, hiking, camping, and skiing. Love a good HIIT workout on YouTube (highly recommend Heather Roberston) when exercising outside isn’t feasible. I also like to bake, read non-fiction books (currently very into personal finance), and recently started learning how to watercolor.

Wake up at like 10 –11 am on Saturday but then ideally early enough to join my favorite yoga instructor at Yogaworks online, grab my iced quad latte with oat milk as soon as possible because I have no hesitation in revealing I have a serious problem when it comes to coffee. I love to clean and organize my apartment and am semi-obsessed with doing laundry cause it makes me feel ready to start the week! Next day, I’d find myself a good brunch spot and find a patch of sun to sit and work at if it’s not raining.
Hobbies
Catching up with my east coast medical school and undergrad friends and nightly phone calls with my boyfriend in Pittsburgh! Running down to Pike Place Market and back and soaking up the view of the bay, getting my usual hardcore iced quad latte from Half and Half Donuts and walking around Cap Hill! And of course hanging with my co-residents (even when I say maybe and then next thing I know there’s a Lyft outside my apartment!).

Wake up early (4:30/5), drive towards Snoqualmie Pass, pick one of the many hikes between exits 32 and 52 off of I-90 (I’m currently a fan of Kendall Katwalk, only 50 minutes away!) hike the hike, see the views, jump into an alpine lake, drive back to Seattle. If you’re fast, you’ve made it back by 2pm. Go to Analog Coffee/B-side and get the veggie toast and a coffee of your choice. You can eat it there or mosey on over to Volunteer Park. Enjoy the park (read a book, take a nap, walk through the gardens, people watch, go to the Asian Art Museum). Now it’s time for ice cream. Personally I’m a fan of Frankie and Jo’s, but within a 10 min walk other great options include Salt & Straw and Molly Moons. Go to Elliott Bay Book Company. Buy a book, or not. Grab your friends, a sweatshirt, takeout, and drinks and head over to Golden Gardens for a great sunset. Have some more drinks, or go to sleep, you woke up early. Next day: wake up, go to Sea Wolf and get their seasonal savory and sweet pastries. Get coffee at Milstead, enjoy them both at Gasworks Park. Read the book you bought yesterday. Rent bikes and take the bus up to Discovery Park. Bike down the Elliott Bay Trail to the waterfront (it’s all down hill!). Wander through Pike Place Market. Have a Rachel’s Ginger Beer. Before you leave go down to Georgetown and buy a slice of cake at Deep Sea Sugar and Salt. Eat it right then and there or save it for the plane. Or buy two slices and do both. Wave goodbye to Mt. Rainier from the plane.
Hobbies
Hiking and backpacking, climbing, running, baking (esp cakes), travel. Things I’ve only done a few times but want to do more: backcountry skiing, mountaineering.

Friday night - Dinner at Lupo in Fremont for cocktails and the best pizza. Saturday - Wake up and drive to the Cascades or Snoqualamie area for a hike (so many good ones to choose from!). After the hike, drive back to Seattle and stop by one of the many Ballard breweries for a beer. Then drive to Golden Gardens (possibly picking up some take out on the way?) to catch the sunset on the beach. Sunday - Hit up one of Seattle’s many farmer’s markets, followed by brunch!

Go to Mamma Melina’s for happy hour and enjoy yourself a nice glass of sparkling rose. The next morning, get an early start and see some of the beauty that this state has to offer (Colchuck Lake, Mt. Pilchuck, Mt. Ellinor, just to name a few!). Treat yourself to some take-out Thai with your best co-residents on one of many Seattle’s rooftops. Then, hop on your bike and enjoy a lovely ride around Mercer Island.

Oof, this is hard! Friday – head downtown and check out Pike place (get a beef and cheese piroshky from Piroshky Piroshky and then a marionberry pie yogurt cup from Ellenos!), then head to Old Stove Brewery for some nice water views OR to the Nest for a rooftop bar. Then for dinner, head to The Pink Door! // Saturday – wake up early and drive to Mt. Rainier. My favorite hike so far is Tolmie Peak! It is beautiful in October. Then if you make it back at a decent time, head to Belltown for some dinner and drinks. // Sunday – This day is hard. This is your chill day. Options include walking onto a ferry and heading to Bainbridge island vs. going to Golden Gardens for a beautiful beach day. Can’t go wrong with either! Definitely need to grab some Tacos Chukis at some point during the day.
Hobbies
Basic things – traveling, cooking, baking, hiking, yoga, barre, peloton, forcing my introverted co-residents to hang out with me (ahem, Joy).
