Why did you decide to pursue a career in OB/GYN?
I wanted to help women facing a cancer diagnosis. I loved being able to provide total oncology care - both surgery and chemotherapy.
What do you like about working at UW Medicine?
The ability to combine research into my daily practice to deliver the most cutting edge clinical care. The research informs my clinical decisions and the clinical care motivates and directs my research efforts. The best part is being surrounded by so many smart, talented researchers, clinicians and staff. I have the best job in the world.
What are your favorite things about living in the Seattle area?
The great outdoors.

My patients.

Genetics, personalized therapy for gynecologic cancers, harnessing DNA repair defects to treat cancers, ovarian cancer prevention and early detection, genomics and predictors of response to therapy, clinical trials.
