Biography

Arlene believes in creating a trust foundation to build with patients, a treatment plan they can have confidence, will help them and give them a greater understanding of their health and the disease process.

She has a keen interest in music. She plays the guitar and sings with a couple of local groups. She has written several short screen plays and is currently working on a book.

Why did you decide to pursue a career in OBGYN?

I have always had a keen interest in Women's Health and look forward to continuing m career and a deeper understanding of Women's Healthcare, especially as it relates to women waging a fight against cancer.

What do you like about working at UW Medicine?

I have gotten my education at UW School of Medicine and I look forward to continuing my work and education here.

What are your favorite things about living in the Seattle area?

I was born in Seattle, at the UW Medical Center, to be exact. Having grown up here, I know the treasures our city and its community possess. The Art, Music, Education and outdoor activities from the mountains to the oceans. It was a wonderful place to grow up and I've never wanted to leave.

What inspires you?

Overcoming challenges, struggles and those who tell you, you can't.
