Biography
Dr. Chin knows provides comprehensive, compassionate, evidence-based care to her patients. She listens to her patients, respects their autonomy, and works with them to create the best plan of care possible.
Dr. Chin enjoys spending time with her family, baking, cycling, hiking, surfing, cross-country skiing, reading, journaling, and traveling.
Why did you decide to pursue a career in OBGYN?
I went into Obstetrics and Gynecology because I wanted to care for my patients through the most joyous times of their lives as well as the most vulnerable times of their lives. I remember a mentor in New Orleans, who had been providing abortion care for over 30 years, said to me, “I do this work because if not me, then who?”. It is an honor to talk to patients about their pregnancies, their hopes and dreams for the future, and to offer them the full spectrum of reproductive healthcare.
What are your favorite things about living in the Seattle area?
I grew up in the Seattle area and have traveled all around the country for my medical training. I am very grateful to have come home for my Complex Family Planning fellowship and to stay on at UW as faculty. I love being close to water, mountains, and trails year round. I love being close to my family and going hiking, cycling, camping, and swimming with them.
