What are some of your favorite activities outside of work?
I enjoy gardening, alpine skiing, boating, road biking and lifting weights.
Why did you decide to pursue a career in academic medicine at UW?
I enjoy being able to empower birthing people during their pregnancy and general health care journey. One thing I love about my job, is I continue to learn new things every day. Working at a teaching hospital allows me to continue to advance my knowledge in my profession while also being able to mentor new providers.
What is the best advice you’ve ever received?
Know what you don't know.
What is one thing that brings you joy, either inside or outside of work?
When my kids hug me and tell me they love me.
What inspires you?
People that are not afraid to take chances, make mistakes and learn from them.

Birth control counseling, OB care, well-person visits, IUD and Nexplanon insertions and removals, early pregnancy ultrasounds, counseling patients & medical management for family planning
