Personal Interests

In my free time I enjoy traveling, creative expression, cooking, gardening, sustainable living, laughter and the sharing of soulful conversation.

Why did you decide to pursue a career in OB/GYN?

As a midwife, I am committed to improving the physical and emotional well-being of all women helping them to learn about their bodies and recognize their extraordinary capacity in the context of giving birth.

What do you like about working at UW Medicine?

UW Medicine has a commitment to excellence. My experience is that UW Medicine is consistently at the forefront of learning new and innovative ways of providing optimal health care while focusing at the heart and uniqueness of each individual and that is how I too choose to practice.

What are your favorite things about living in the Seattle area?

The Pacific Northwest is one of the most beautiful places to live with its unique urban flavors surrounded by some of the most stunning natural wonders to explore. People here are committed to living lives that are healthy, sustainable and honoring of differences at both the individual and community level. I feel very fortunate to have found such a unique place to raise my family and cultivate community.

What inspires you?

I'm inspired by people living in ways to make the world a better place.
