What are some of your favorite activities outside of work?

Hiking and exploring with my dog Izzy and my partner Rahul. Finding new recipes to try out with friends and family. Swimming laps in the local pool. I am also working on reading a book from an author from every country in the world.

Why did you decide to pursue a career in academic medicine at UW?

Academic medicine is a good fit for me as it brings together two of my biggest passions: advocating for patients and teaching. I am from a family of teachers and was a teacher myself prior to medical school, so continuing to work in education has always been a goal of mine. Helping to teach new OBGYNs how to care for and advocate for their patients is a dream come true!
