Biography

Kristin Swenson, DNP, CNM, ARNP is a board-certified nurse midwife.

Kristin uses the midwifery model of care to empower and support people in their life-long health journey through education, active listening, and centering the patient. She values and enjoys building therapeutic and trusting relationships with patients, utilizing evidence-based and holistic care practices, and consistently acting with reproductive justice principles to create a safe and respectful care environment for each person and their family.

Kristin’s clinical specialties include prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care, sexual & reproductive healthcare including, preventative screenings, contraception, unplanned pregnancy, and gynecologic infection diagnosis and treatment.

What are some of your favorite activities outside of work?

Outside of work you can find Kristin enjoying time with her husband and their dog, pulling a Fraulein Maria in nature somewhere, cooking/eating something delicious, dancing around the living room, reading in a hammock in the garden, emailing her legislators, talking to her plants, or spending quality time with friends and family.

What is the best advice you’ve ever received?

Never make assumptions and take nothing personally.
