BEfore your clerkship

Track Coordinator will reach out to students with their initial Welcome email to begin the onboarding process. This email includes requesting students to keep an eye out for emails from Billings Clinic regarding a two-step online onboarding process that must be complete prior to coming to Billings. Once that is completed, the student will have a mandatory orientation on their first morning of their rotation.

Student experience

  • There are three main types of experience types: clinic, OR and call. These will be split amongst various providers in different specialties: Generalist OB/GYN, Maternal-Fetal Medicine (includes gestational diabetes care, ultrasound), Urogynecology, REI, and GYN-Oncology

  • Expectations for the rotation:

    • Active involvement in clinic care of GYN and OB patients

    • Observation and experience in the operating room with GYN and Obstetric procedures

    • Call coverage with active involvement on L&D for antepartum care, deliveries and ER consultations

Transportation & housing

Students are highly encouraged to bring their own transportation, although the Billings Clinic OBGYN downtown office is located within a one-mile radius from the student housing that is offered. The Billings Track Office has three WWAMI student houses in town that students are housed in, should they need housing. This information is given to students after their initial welcome email goes out, along with detailed information for each house.
