Christine Zachek, MD MPH, is an obstetrician/gynecologist and critical care physician. She specializes in the acute care of OB/GYN patients, including labor management of birthing patients, postpartum care, and emergency gynecologic issues. She also received subspecialty training in anesthesia critical care medicine and holds a dual role as an OB/GYN hospitalist and intensivist, additionally providing care to critically ill medical and post-operative patients in the Intensive Care Unit.
Dr. Zachek cares deeply about supporting patients and their families through difficult situations, whether it be an unexpected pregnancy complication, emergency surgery, or a new medical diagnosis requiring intensive care. She strives to provide clear, patient-centered communication to help patients and families feel heard, informed, and empowered during their hospitalization.
Dr. Zachek is committed to reducing disparities and structural barriers to healthcare through systems improvement, team-based approaches, and providing the highest quality care for all. Her academic interests include obstetric critical care, infectious disease, and global health equity.
