Christine Topinka, MSN, CNM, ARNP is a board certified nurse midwife who specializes in full scope reproductive women's health with a special interest in sexuality.

Christine believes in a collaborative care model that focuses on patient autonomy. It is her belief that patients are the expert in their body and through education and support we can work together to reach the patient's desired goals. She values informed decision making, practicing evidenced-based medicine, and community building for on-going success in health promotion.

Christine's clinical expertise includes pregnancy care, contraception, abortion services, sexual and gender health, and peri/menopause care.


What do you like to do in your free time?
In her free time, she often enjoys being outdoors and can be found hiking, wildcrafting medicinal plants, or snowboarding. She also enjoys producing music and art events, where she often performs as a professional fire & circus performer.

Why did you decide to pursue a career in academic medicine at UW?
The culture of learning is essential to being a good provider.

What is the best advice you’ve ever received?
Do the best you can, and when you know better, do better.

What is one thing that brings you joy, either inside or outside of work?
Watching people find success in their healthcare goals is one of the greatest gifts of working in medicine.

What inspires you?
Thriving communities inspire me. Seeing the strength that we create when collaborating together.
