Biography
Kelsey Thompson, DNP, is a doctorally prepared and board-certified women's health nurse practitioner (WHNP-BC). Kelsey Thompson, DNP is seeing patients within the Maternal Fetal Medicine Department at UW Medical Center- Montlake.
Kelsey believes in providing the most patient & family centered care to those she cares for. She believes patient autonomy and shared decision making is vital to the patient-provider relationship.
Kelsey enjoys spending time with her family and friends in her spare time. One of her favorite activities, apart from outdoor adventures, is spending time cooking up a pot of delicious soup.
Why did you decide to pursue a career in OBGYN?
Obstetrics is a calling and is faced with daily challenges. Each person deserves a safe birth process and I feel strongly about providing this right.
What do you like about working at UW Medicine?
UW Medicine has an amazing impact on safe patient care in Washington and I am happy to be part of a team where patients are treated with the highest respect.
What are your favorite things about living in the Seattle area?
Seattle is a uniquely colorful community filled with water, hills and extraordinary people. My favorite aspect of Seattle is the ability to enjoy wildlife sights daily without much effort.

Women's health research, high risk pregnancies, preeclampsia, breastfeeding.

Hypertension disorders in pregnancy, high risk pregnancies, mental health disorders in peripartum patients.
