I am board certified in both Ob/Gyn and Gynecologic Oncology and trained at UT MD Anderson for fellowship. I will be working at Peace Health in Bellingham.

I believe in working as a team and care for my gynecologic oncology patients with a personalized approach.

I care for women with gynecologic cancers, including performing their surgery, overseeing their chemotherapy and working closely with radiation oncology to determine the role of radiation.

All gynecologic cancers and women at risk for cancer

Research Interests:

I have published mainly in ovarian cancer

What are some of your favorite activities outside of work?

I ride dressage and love to exercise, garden and cook.

Why did you decide to pursue a career in academic medicine at UW?

I have been in academic medicine my whole career.

What is one professional or academic accomplishment of which you are most proud and why?

I have been the chair of Ob/Gyn at UConn Health for the last 10.5 years and have built the department from about 10 people to more than 40 physicians. I developed a MIGS division, a Clinical Genetics division and a Complex Family Planning division and helped get approval for a CFP fellowship.

What is the best advice you’ve ever received?

Never humiliate someone as they will never forget how you made them feel.

What is one thing that brings you joy, either inside or outside of work?

Riding my horse, gardening and running with my dog.

What inspires you?

My patients continuously inspire me.

When do you feel the most impactful?

I feel most impactful when I figure out a complicated problem.
