Rogers enjoys sailing, knitting and learning about other cultures and people.

Why did you decide to pursue a career in OB/GYN?

I wanted to work with women in a more supportive and nurturing way than I experienced as a nurse. I like knowing families over a longer period of time than just one labor.

What do you like about working at UW Medicine?

I like working with highly competent and incredibly smart professionals, and find all of my co workers and collegues to also be nurturing and caring people.

What are your favorite things about living in the Seattle area?

It is home. I'm a native and I love the rain, and I love being on the water in a sailboat!

What inspires you?

The amazing people I get to encounter everyday. The families I get to be with, and the challenges of being a midwife.

Board Certification:
Certified Nurse Midwife, 1988
